Bad idea. Really bad idea.
You wouldn't get kidnapped for ransom or anything like that but you would definitely be putting your wife in danger and possibly the kids, too. At the very least, expect to be abused by the local juveniles. |

Well, the Magic Kingdom is full of hundred thousands of Phillipinos, and there are a lot of Philipinas who are working as nurses living with their husbands and children in the neighbourhood of each city or town of the Magic kingdom, their children attend private schools, and I did not hear of any serious problems towards them. Mind you, most of the average Saudi families have at least a Philipino working as a driver or a Philipina working as a maid. Also, you can contact the Philipines embassy in Riaydh and get advice concerning the area where you will be living, just to re-assure your wife about her safety in the magic Kingdom.

| Do not listen to Satan, even if he spells his name with a 7. We have lived happily in Jubail (the Industrial City part) for over two years and our Saudi neighbors have always been friendly and polite. Ask your wife (nicely) to wear a headscarf and abaya right from the beginning and I think Jubail people will treat her with the respect she is due. |

| I agree...I have seen Filipinos living very happily in the ghettos of Jeddah (where the roughest Saudis hang out). So, I don't think they'll have any problems anywhere else, insha Allah. |

if it's a second floor with private entrance, why not
if it's a small detached set of rooms behind the house, why not
kuwaitis have been renting out parts of their homes for years
they actually prefer non-arabs as we don't trash the place and pay on time |

While that is true, it's also a lot easier for them to screw us than a watani (metaphorically speaking of course)! |
