| To start with I'll say hello to everyone, since this is my first post on this board. I have some questions about working as an ESL tutor. I'm starting my TESOL certification soon (I also have a BA), and I'm wondering what kind of opportunities there might be for private tutoring work in Los Angeles. I'm especially interested in working with college students. If possible I would want to do it on my own, not working for a company. Has anyone else done this in the LA area, and was there much demand for it? How did you operate your sessions, as in were you able to just post up ads and do tutoring right there on the campus with no problems? How many hours a week were you able to tutor and was that income enough for you? Thanks. |
