Does anybody know if there is any limit on the amount of money you can transfer overseas in one go, in the same way that there are limits as to how much cash you can carry when you enter a country?

Secondly, I was wondering if anybody has any experience, good or bad, dealing with Magellan in Tokyo regarding financial planning?

I don't think it is the issue of not being allowed to carry large amounts of cash, but it is that you have to declare any amount over X amount. I think that if you transfer anything over $10,000, the gov't gets notified of it. The key word is think.
