				| Hello All,
Wondering if I need to purchase a roundtrip ticket to get through immigration upon entering Mexico? I'm planning on staying for at least a year and possible getting an extended visa if necessary while in country. Otherwise, I'll shoot across the border to Guatemala or Belize as needed every three months or so. Is it necessary for me to purchase a roundtrip ticket to enter Mexico on a tourist visa? Is it feasible to tell immigration I'll be taking a bus back through Tijuana? Any advice greatly appreciated...

				| Does it matter where you are flying into? I know it matters not in Mexico City, but is that the same case everywhere? I thought that it might be more of an issue at tourist centers like Cancun or PV. | |

				| Don't know about the really touristed areas like Cancun or PV, but I did it once into BJX in Leon (which is the airport serving Guanajuato and San Miguel de Allende which are fairly touristy) with no problem. | |

				| I do remember someone saying in a similar thread a while ago that authorities in Cancun were becoming a bit more fussy with passengers entering on one way tickets. | |

				| I flew into cancun on a one-way ticket and had no problems. What also surprised me was that I overstayed my tourist visa by 2 months and they didn't say a word to me when I flew back to the states. I believe that was the 2nd time I flew into Cancun on a one-way ticket. | |
