I was planning on doing the CELTA in Chiang Mai in June next year, but now they (IH) have posted a new course held in February. I have heard that February would be a good time to go to Chiang Mai, weather wise and plane ticket pricing (from SFO). Is this true? I've done research that says that February is cooler and drier, April is crazy hot, and then it starts to cool off and rain in June, but not torrential like in August.

I would love to hear a first hand account of Chiang Mai weather and travel differences between February and June. Suggestions for when best to go. I have never been to Thailand, let alone Northern Thailand, so I haven't a clue.

You know tourist weather reports are always like "anytime is a good time." Rolling Eyes

Thanks in advance!
