Hi everyone. So I am sitting here in sunny Mendoza, the teaching situation is just about ok for the moment but it is clear that January is going to be a very quiet time workwise. So I have the first half of January all tied up with a little holiday, seeing some family etc in Buenos Aires, but I am unsure what to do in the second half of January and February until things pick up.
I have some ideas. Volunteer as a teacher in a centre for children in one of the poorer parts of Mendoza, this may just be possible.
Also possible is getting some work in the tourism industry, although that could be tough due to my relatively low level of Spanish.
So, my question to other TEFL teachers here in Argentina is, what are you gonna do with yourselves during the summer. It would be interesting to hear how you plan to fill your time and if you have any experience or suggestions to share..... |
