Veracruz - land of Jarochos and some of the most creative Spanish cuss words known. General state info right here for Mexico's third most populous state.

Finding teaching jobs in Veracruz should start with a search in Xalapa, the state capital or the port of Veracruz. Other cities referenced on the Mexico forum for jobs are Cordoba, Poza Rica, and Orizaba, among others.

Pay seems to vary across the the state though if you're looking at entry level language school jobs, you should expect a low hourly rate of between 40 and 60 pesos per hour. There have been references to university or colegio teaching positions in Xalapa (also spelled Jalapa), and I would expect pay to be decent there. Teaching business English is going to revolve around Pemex, the Mexican state oil company, and may be lucrative in these days of Pemex flush with cash - though that can turn on a dime.
