|
I just need some friendly advice on which country I should start teaching in to gain experience. I am a new grad with a B.A Sociology from Georgia State University and a Tefl Certification from Georgia State University which included a teacher practium for one semester. I did some volunteer teaching/tutoring at international refugee centers for 8 hours a week, helping adults. I want to work in the middle east and I need to know which country I should start at and how much will be the pay. |

Didn't you learn anything from the other threads you made asking the same question? Are you getting the idea that this may not be the place for you with you lack of experience and unrelated credentials?
You could try heading to Egypt or Syria or Morocco and see if a language school will pick you up for a few classes. Just don't expect to be able to make much money. In fact, for the first year or two, you might need to bring in money from home to make ends meet. You will have trouble covering the rent...

You could definitely work at Abu Dhabi University. But, check the other threads first. |

OP. With a year or two you will easily walk into a job in the Gulf. Make it your last stop after a couple of year.
You'll find much negativity like above. Don't worry and don't let it stop you. |

Skullydude asked this question on at least 2 other forums. Hence the reponse from VS.
To reiterate, skully, having done the little or no qualification thing in the Gulf myself, if you're looking for quality employment and a decent package, I would steer you towards N. Africa, for now. The Gulf is a much better gig when you've got the experience and the masters. Without it, you face questionable offers and even more questionable employers. |
