If anyone is currently in Queretaro or planning to go there, you may be interested in knowing about a new gym that has opened up. I know alot of people find it difficult to adjust and stay healthy once they get away, especially when diet options at first are limited.

Anyway a friend is currently teaching Muay Thai (one of the fastest growing martial arts out there) at the new gym, and the first class is free if you're interested in trying it out or are missing your regular classes at home. There is also Jiu Jitsu and a spinning class, plus weights and cardio machines. Like I said, it's brand spanking new and the teachers speak English. In fact, the owner, Armando, is from Chicago and teaches Jiu Jitsu.

If you're interested in Muay Thai you'll want to talk to Oscar Zamora who can be reached at [email protected]. Otherwise, here are the gym details:

Academia de Jiu-Jitsu y Muay Thai
Ponciano Arriaga no.-156 Colonia Los Girasoles
Santiago de Queretaro, MEXICO

tel:2179866

I take Muay Thai and I'm also considering teaching opportunities in Queretaro - so I'm stoked about this new place.

Anyway, feel free to contact me if you need any details or contact the gym directly.

Thanks! Stay safe, be healthy....

D

Hey deeds...if you're around. I was wondering about Queretaro. Did you make it there? How much is the gym and jiu-jitsu? Is it BJJ or more traditional?
