Hello
This is my first post and I am hoping to get some info on teaching and living in Malaysia. I am interested in hearing from anyone who has any insight into life there. I am considering going to Malaysia in the spring...is there efl work available there?
How is the pay?
How are the people?
Any help is appreciated!
Thanks |

I don't wish to be unhelpful but your questions are a bit vague.
I teach in KL. I like it a lot, others don't. Right now, I know of at least 2 jobs in KL and 1 in Penang. They're on the www, do a search. Average salaries are RM3500,which isn't bad. An ex-colleague wrote a fair report on KL in the Job Info Journal of this board. |

Hey HOD, I have been here a relatively short time and would appreciate some dialogue on the scene, I'm out PJ way and just working out the transport possibilities.
For starters, I would like to know where to find an International calling card for NZ/Aus cheap rates.
What about a weekend Bahasa course on a Uni campus?
So many things to discover, but the locals are more than helpful.
Thanks. |
