Sorry, the answer's probably in the forum somewhere but 20 minutes of looking has left me none the wiser.

1. I'm on a triple-entry that I got in Penang in July. I've just extended it today for another month, but it'll expire on the 10th of Feb.

(a) Will I be able to get another tourist visa from Penang/Lao/Wherever after that? (I hear they're only 2 or 3 month single-entries now though?)

(b)What if I got 2 free 30 day stamps then tried to get a tourist visa?

(c) What If i got 3 stamps then tried to get a tourist visa?

2. My friend arrived on a free stamp and is on his second now, which expires next Thursday.

(a) Will he be able to get a tourist visa from Penang/Columbo/Wherever if he goes now?

(b) What if he gets 3 stamps then tries for a tourist visa immediately after?

(c) If he does 3 stamps then gets a non-imm (by whatever means) will the 'no return within 3 months' rule be cancelled? Or will officials query how he got the non-imm after 3 free stamps, and possibly expel him from the country?

Cheers.
