Hello,
I'm going to be in Buenos Aires on January 5, and was wondering if anyone has any advice regarding international cell phone plans in the area.

I've heard of two prominent ones - Telestial and Mobal - but do not know how well each of them work for calling the States. Mobal says they use the strongest available signal, but they charge $2 US per minute, and Telestial is a lot cheaper, so I was thinking I'd go with Telestial if they have good coverage and I won't have to shout to talk to my family back home.

Anybody have experience with these carriers or better ones? Any advice/insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

If you have a lap top why not use Skype internet calling for pennies on the dollar. It even gives you voicemail when your not at your computer and a local number for people to conveniently and cheaply call you.

$2.00 /min after a couple months will get tired fast, youll see!
