Hello I am new to the forums here. I was wondering if there are any schools that teach Thai boxing in the Muang Thong Thanni area (Near the Impact Center) north of Bangkok? I want to start soon so any information will be appreciated. If there aren't any there where in Bangkok can I go to learn? |

Thanks for the links but I am really looking for a little hole in the wall place, not corporate hotspots that are used to charging 700.00 a month to stupid farangs who are willing to pay it. In any country I have been to I have never payed over 100.00 a month for premium martial arts instruction. I think I'll head down to victory monument and look around. |

If you don't speak Thai, you are limited to the choices. Besides some of those places allow you to live there and train everyday.
Has anyone ever noticed that most Thai people don't study Muai Thai? It is considered agressive and low class. Tae Kwon do is much more popular. |

I studied for 2 years in Korea with an instructor that didn't speak any English. The language barrier was never a problem for me. I am a 3rd degree brown belt in Tae Kwon Do and I can tell you although it is popular here and in Korea it is patently worthless in real hand to hand combat the Koreans will all tell you that and they're the ones who cooked it up. I just want to find a Thaiboxing school that charges nominal rates. I live in Maung Thong Thani so I don't need someplace that charges an arm and a leg for room and board. Also I've noticed that the flashy places tend to not give you as good of training as the backstreet gyms. |
