I really have grown tired of Korea for many reasons. My job at the University is great and I love it. But Koreans in general just are getting to me. I'm tired of hearing the Racial Superiority Spiel and hearing how Koreans are so much better and smarter than everyone. Not to mention the country's racists Banking Laws which do not allow Foreigners certain banking privileges. Is Taiwan any better? Do Taiwan banks refuse international access bank cards or Visa Debit Cards? Are the Taiwanese as narrow minded as the Koreans? I really would appreciate some advice on Taiwan.

I read that other thread, but it doesnt seem to answer questions about banking and racist-things...

I'm in more or less the same boat. I have been in Korea for a couple of years and, despite making good money here now, am getting sick of it... almost the same things to report as the OP: narrow minded people, unfair treatment by rules, suspicious/hostile stares and attitudes from many Koreans, stupid kids who say, "hello!" just to collect face in front of thier friends, psychopathic women,... I would like to know more about Taiwan, too... I lived in Shanghai and heard from a friend that Taiwan is more or less just like Korea: Nationalistic, protectionistic, racist, narrow, conservative... is that true? If it is true, I reckon it doesnt matter where I am as long as Im saving alot of money so I can go back to a regular, English speaking country of individualism and arrogance like the US or Australia. If not, I'd like to give Taiwan a try...

"am.................................women." Yup,I would agree. Taiwan is not as bad as S. Korea regarding some of your comments, although the Taiwanese arrogance with some of them does stand out, etc. Some of the Taiwanese women can be quite stupid, immature, neurotic and arrogant as well. "go back.............Australia." Too funny! Smile I find So. Koreans the most arrogant. By far.
