Hi,
I am leaving a university in Liayungang, Jiangsu Province, as are several other teachers (all on good terms), so there could be positions available here next semester. The staff are very helpful and friendly as were the other teachers and students; generally the few hassles were fixed up pretty quickly. It can be cold and polluted sometimes, like most places in China, but the sea breeze often clears it away. The city is spread out and not crowded with an easy ten-minute bus ride to the city center. Smile Other conditions, lurks and perks fairly standard.
There are lots of rocky hills nearby for walking, the main one being Monkey Mountain from the legionary Monkey King fame. It also has beaches nearby and an interesting island joined to the mainland by a 7-kilometer causeway.
If you know of anyone who wants a job near the beach, with a mountain full of wild monkeys and fairly central to other interesting places in China, just let them know at Huaihai Institute of Technology. The contact is Janet at [email protected]
