I'm thinking of relocating to Muscat and wonder can anyone update me on the prices of flats nowadays there ? Many times accommodation allowances and actual market prices of apartments are very different. |

Rents have gone up considerably in the last year and now they are getting out of range for us poor teflers ! A decent one bedroom anywhere between the airport and Ruwi will probably be 180 - 200 and if you want anything bigger, then it's 250-300. When I say decent I mean relatively new with modern fixtures that aren't the cheapest possible quality. There just aren't many around either and you will have a hard time finding something these days.
Depending on your work situation and transportation, try Al Hail, Mawaleh etc. for affordable housing.

Salmon, why are you thinking of relocating to Muscat? Nothing to do with the alcohol license thread, is it? |
