I'm an English Teacher in Santiago....been here for 4 years....Ugh...damn, and well trying to take a break from all that for the summer time...My friend and i (we both do a lot of hiking and mountain biking etc) put together an excursion company for the summer. The focus of it is the "Alive Excursion." Basically we take you to the crash site that the movie "Alive is based on. Now before you go saying "morbid" and all that, let me tell you the experience is absolutely amazing. You will see the mountains like you've never seen them before, and I guarantee that after an excursion like this, no one will ever be able to tell you that you haven't properly experienced the Andes. And aside from all that, there's hot springs at the end at Termas de Flaco. Well, I hope no one gets angry for me putting the website up. www.fmie.org
