Hi does anyone know any links for Public School positions in Taiwan. I am assuming from what I reak they have a program similiar to EPIK in Korea. I have found one sight http://www.iacc.com.tw which lists public schools. But the salary they shows $60,000NT seems a bt low. If anyone could post some links I would greatly appreciate it. |

IACC are a recruiting company that have a pretty bad reputation. I would think twice before accepting a position through them.
You will not find a complete list of public schools that will be of much use to you as on the whole teaching in public schools in Taiwan is not legal for foreigners. As such most public schools do not have any formal need for foreign teachers, nor do they have established channels for finding them.
The site that I am involved with www.buxiban.com has extensive lists of schools that you can contact for work in Taiwan but very few of these contacts are direct contacts with staff in public schools.
If you are a qualified teacher back home and therefore meet the governments requirements for legal employment in the selected government schools that can accept foreign teachers legally, then I would contact the MOE directly for further information. They have contracted some recruitment companies to handle this recruitment on their behalf (IACC being one of these companies I believe) but as I mentioned earlier you are probably best tracking down one of the other companies in my opinion. |
