Hi,
I'm wondering about the possibility of finding a job in Italy or Greece without an EU passport. My girlfriend has an EU passport so we were thinking that she could find a job from Canada and then I could find one once we moved there. We looked into getting married to secure an EU passport for me but I would have to live in England for 3 years once married to get citizenship. Can anyone offer any advice? I was also wondering what parts of Italy and Greece has the largest concentration of jobs, because it looks like maybe she will have a job, and I will try to find one close by. We both have degrees, tefl certs (not celta) and teaching experience. If I follow her into Italy, say, and wander around in August looking for a (legal) job, what would you say are my chances?
Thanks.

Without the EU member passport, nearly nil. Itly's tough to get into. You might really be best off to do the UK thing for as long as you have to.

While this is not my only information about Italy, one friend of mine searched for four years for some legal job/loophole/even slight possibility for papers in Italy. She has an MA, 8 years of experience in the field, is bilingual in Italian and English (U.S. born, degree in Italian), and tons of contacts.

After four years, she finally gave up.

Not to say that the stars might all align for you, but it's very unlikely.
