|
|
I am a Canadian certified teacher with a CTEFL and 2.5 years teaching in Asia (plus 1 year in Canada) I am hoping to go back this year on my summer vacation- am looking for something from between about July 5 and Aug 25.
Are there short term things like this in any nice area (even Bangkok though would prefer beach or jungle...) that have reasonable pay (will cover living expenses and maybe air fare) and the companies aren't total poop to work for?
thanks for any leads. |

Others know better but I suspect your timing is wrong--April-May is when the summer camps are going. And most of these camps are for about 3 days in length so you'll need to line up a string of these and that won't be easy. There were some jobs advertised on Arjahn.com--check them out to get an idea of wages etc. Airfares? Ha ha ha-LOL. 2 year full-time contracts don't come with airfares. |

I figured it's worth a try.
There are a few in north Asia and even Vietnam that offer a lot considering it's one or two months of work (including air or partial air) so one can hope they'd do that somewhere really nice! |

Agree. Most summer camps are 2-3 days long. And Thai parents will expect the foreign teacher to entertain rather than teach their kids anything during camp. How good are your entertainment skills?
Pay is around 30 US $ per day. No other benefits are included except for a matras and some rice hahaha

I will check some of those out!
I still haven't found much going on out there for summer camps, and when coming in from Canada I need to get the ball rolling soon... |
