Interac Vs. RCS: Ok, so I know they both suck but I like the public school schedule and need to live in a area of Japan where I can commute in the evenings to study with a music teacher who lives about a half hour northeast of Tokyo. I have job offers from both companys and they are both offering pretty much the compensation, etc. except Interac pays a portion of your salary during some school vacations and RCS does not. Other than that they are basically them same it would seem. I'd like to hear how other people would say these companys compare. |

Although both companies are paid, and therefore themselves pay, a month behind (which can make life difficult for AETs), I'd go with Interac if I were you. They are the larger company, so there'll probably be less likelihood that they'll need to make the sorts of unreasonable pay deductions and demands that RCS did recently to stay afloat (why else did they shut their Saitama office and lay off staff there?). See the thread begun by one disgruntled 'rcs employee' for more. |

I've heard more bad stuff about RCS than Interac. That does not bode well, considering that RCS is a much smaller company.
Half and hour northeast of Tokyo, is this in Saitama? If so, I thought that Shane had won a bunch of contracts here.
Don't forget about direct hire! Check around for some private schools in the area and see if they're hiring. |
