I know Guadalajara ain't DF, but in January and February, we get a few days a year in which the pollution levels are actually higher than they are in the capital. That is, according to the local press.

This past weekend was surprisingly bad. My wife was tired, congested and dizzy and I was just sort of down in the mouth because the sky had this urine-like-color.

What's the air like in DF these days? What about Monterrey?

It's been abnormally windy lately, so the air has been better than one would expect. Jan and Feb are usually the worst months in DF for temperature inversion over the mountains.

I've been experiencing this same thing in Guadalajara since I arrived.
