I just watched a disturbing story on CNN International regarding the increasing violence in Southern Thailand.
QUESTION: Given the new visa rules, recent coup, and apparently increasing amount of violence in Southern Thailand, is that area predicting or currently witnessing a shortage of experienced teachers?
Thank you! |

Southern Thailand is a big place and the violence so far has been confined to the deep south, the three far southern provinces of Yala, Pattani, and Narathiwat with recently a spillover into Songkhla. The three deep south provinces long ago had a flight of qualified teachers. It's just not worth it, well maybe. I do know someone who is saying he is earning 50k per month in Yala. |
