If you had your own dershane, what rules and strategies would you implement? No Celtic supporters is a must but what about other things?

No students,

...or teachers.

I'd have a bar on the top floor. It's a great business idea. The students pay you, you pay the teachers and they give you back the money in the bar...and no Headway.

I used to work at English West In Izmir way back in 1989, anyway, they had a roof top open balcony where you could sip tea or whatever from the cafe. A real winner. No booze though!

DMB-do you remember the English Fast canteen where they served special tea for the teachers-had some kind of cheap alcohol in it?

I think that was before my time Thrifty. But mate, if I ever have my own dershane I have a plan. I'll open a bar so the students and teachers can meet after lessons, then after a few beers they can stumble into your chip van which is conveintly parked outside.

OK. I have my principles so I could not be part of any language school but supplying chips to the teachers and students is fine by me.

I would have a rule for a language school-dating the students is fine unlike Interlang which had a clause in the contract that said dating students was forbidden. Of course it did not stop an American dating a 17 year old who ran off to Spain with him.

Running a dershane ? Have you people no moral scruples at all ?

Do something more honest like running a bordello or selling heroin to kids.
