Contact Interac by phone or email.
Is there anything simpler? |

having trouble with my phone. (hehe..its not my week..i know)
but if thats the only way...then i will get on it.
i was hopong that fellow inyterac employers may explain to me how they usually arrange things like this. |

Who were you planning on travelling WITH??
If you know a few people who want to come to Japan at the same time as you, call your airline and make a group booking.
I think your biggest problem is finding a whole group of people who want to hold your hand to make sure you get to Japan. |

Jon,
Where are you flying from? Will somebody from Interac meet you at the airport? When will you find out where you're living?
Are you asking about a group flight with other people coming with Interac, or are your friends planning to fly here with you? |

with other people from interac.
i know about the employee meeting us in japan....im just worried about when to book flights and get the best deal but i dont know when the group flight is...if there is one.
inaddition, i'm assuming the group i will be going with is the group i was with during the interview process...if if they were successful.
littler turtle,
no need to be a bit edgy with your remark about holding hands.
its for the purpose of saving money and making sure things go smoothly.
you mistake me from someone who lives of there parents.
whether i end up going on my own or with a group....i hope i arrive in japan without any hiccups
(it mentions it in the website) |

Jon22,
I wish you well but your post was the first I had heard of any company arranging group flights, other than the JET program. I'm not sure where you heard it. Since the company isn't paying for the flight, there is no incentive for them to make the effort.
I checked out their website: it provides links for employees to find flights so they can see Japan while living here, but I couldn't find where it mentioned group flights for new recruits coming over for training.
My two yen: There won't be enough people flying over from the city where you interviewed to get a group discount rate, even if you knew who they were. It's possible they had to travel a fair distance to get to the interview. If you are sure this was mentioned though - call your recruiter.
The longer you wait, the more expensive that ticket is going to get. Do an online search for cheap tickets in your area and bite the bullet.
Have a safe trip! |

I came over to work for Interac a few years ago, and I asked the same question. There just weren't enough people flying in the same week from my location to make a group flight ticket possible.
Good luck on your relocation to Japan! |
