Everything I know is second hand, but there are a few schools there, and some of them do hire from abroad. My understanding is that it is an industrial city. Most of the industry in the region is mining and metallurgy. There's also a scientific institute there.
The city is located near the Ural Mountains, which offer beautiful scenery in some areas. I spent a couple of weeks camping in the Urals near Chelyabinsk this summer and had a wonderful time. I think there's skiing near Ekaterinburg. |
