Most Esteemed Masters of ESL:
I am applying for a post at Kunshan International School.
As of now the school seems almost too perfect.
Can anyone offer any reality to this Institute of Higher Education?

| Never heard of this school though I knew of a lot of Germans taking up residency in Kunshan due to their being involved in investing there. The place certainly has a need for an international school as Kunshan, wedged between charming ancient ZHOUZHUANG, famed SUZHOU and well-known SHANGHAI has become drawing-board model city attracting migrants and immigrants from everywhere. |

Proximity to more attractive and interesting places is Kunshan's biggest drawcard. Its heavy on Taiwanese, Korean, Japanese and US tech investment: factories with cheap labor and good infrastructure.
The "International School" tag needs checking out more than the city. Who are its students? What curriculum does it run.?
A true international school, eg American, British, will only employ people with Western recognised teaching credentials, and will pay USD 4,000 a month upwards.
There is a Chinese imitation version, as with everything on the market. Check carefully. |
