Most Esteemed Masters of ESL:
I am applying for a post at Kunshan International School.
As of now the school seems almost too perfect.
Can anyone offer any reality to this Institute of Higher Education?
email me privatly if you do not want to post.
Cheers in advance |

Never heard of this school though I knew of a lot of Germans taking up residency in Kunshan due to their being involved in investing there. The place certainly has a need for an international school as Kunshan, wedged between charming ancient ZHOUZHUANG, famed SUZHOU and well-known SHANGHAI has become drawing-board model city attracting migrants and immigrants from everywhere. |

Proximity to more attractive and interesting places is Kunshan's biggest drawcard. Its heavy on Taiwanese, Korean, Japanese and US tech investment: factories with cheap labor and good infrastructure.
The "International School" tag needs checking out more than the city. Who are its students? What curriculum does it run.?
A true international school, eg American, British, will only employ people with Western recognised teaching credentials, and will pay USD 4,000 a month upwards.
There is a Chinese imitation version, as with everything on the market. Check carefully. |
