Hi
Just wondering if anyone has volunteered with New Era Galapagos? I'm considering going there to volunteer with them and would appreciate any advice.
Thanks! |

I have not volunteered with New Era, but I studied on the Galapagos for a few months. What I gathered about New Era is that they are very disorganized and not necessarily the best program. But if you want an experience with an amazing culture and a unique and beautiful environment, go there. Your students probably wont do that much work, as school ethic isn't that strong, but you can still have fun with them. It has a definite laid back island atmosphere. I loved every minute of my time there. |

I haven't been, but have had friends who had good experiences with New Era. "Not very organised," regrettably, is probably standard across Ecuador. But if you want to spend some time volunteering in the Galapagos as an English teacher...they're about the only well known option.
Best,
