A recent college grad has applied for a teaching position in China. He has the right education but no practical experience. He will be working with a 9 year veteran of teaching in China, no not me.
He appears prepared for the culture shock and the acclimation process.
His position will commence March 2004.
HOLD THE PHONE -
He is getting married in January and will be bringing his new bride to China.
Is this young man biting off more than he should? Adjusting to China, a new teaching position and a new marriage partnership all at one time?
It sounds like a too full plate for anyone.
What do you advise? |

I think yo should ignore the marriage, who knows maybe hey have known each other 8 years and have waited till after college to marry. Or they may be walking on air for a year and see out the contract in spite of all kinds of stuff going on around them. Of course they may not, but you dont know enough to use that info in a decision.
Treat him as any other recent graduate who wants to come with a partner. |
