Hey all,

I've read most of the posts on this forum and other forums Wink The gist is that going directly over there and dealing directly with the schools is the best but what if you find a really sweet job, apply and do the telephone interview, what are my chances of getting the job compared to actually going over there and doing a demo? Will they expect me to go over and do a demo anyways?

Many thanx Smile

Note: Demos are illegal at the moment, and if you are caught doing one, you will be considered to be working illegally and deported.

Teaching without an ARC is technically illegal. It takes roughly two months to get an ARC. Foreigners teaching in kindergartens is also technically illegal.

I'd be more worried about other issues before the legality issue. How do you know it is actually is a sweet job?
You really should check out the school before saying yes or no to the job.

There's lots of areas they might be lacking in ranging from a photocopier, airconditioning, flashcards to textbooks.
