|
|
Hello, I am moving to CR soon for at least 1 1/2 years. I was planning on having my 100 Ib dog shipped from the U.S. after a couple months. I am finding that it is extremely expensive for a dog his size; he has to be shipped as cargo b/c he is too heavy for any passenger flights that I might be on.
Does anyone know of the best and least expensive way to transport a dog to CR? I have done my homework and am very nervous about the lack of options I am finding? I have searched all of the airlines cargo rules/rates and they are all much more than the extra one hundred dollars to check my Dog.
Any info will be greatly appreciated seeing as how I would be leaving a family member behind.
Thanks, Amanda |

Thanks for the article; Continental does seem to be the most accomodating and least expensive, er um $448 for cargo <150 Lbs., option thus far. I am still looking at other options like driving? I know this is time consuming but what an adventure and I could take my vehicle... which opens up a whole new can of worms. Cheers! |
