To my fellow Americans and football fans,

Man, I'm pretty bummed I'm missing out on the festivities back on US soil. It seems like both conference championship games were awesome, with the Colts vs. Pats being one of the best ever.

Is there any way some of you fans out there catch the games here in Japan? (Moreover, will bars actually broadcast the SB live here?).

Oh yea, and of course, who's going to take it? Bears or Colts?

My prediction: Colts, 24-14.

Yeah, the Big Dance should be a good one this year. Two African-American coaches in the Bowl guarantees that an African-American coach will win. Good stuff.

My prediction:

Manning will get sacked a couple of times, lose confidence, and get picked off at least once by hurrying his passes, which will result in 6 plus 1 (as a result of the interception) for the Bears. From there Manning won't recover. The Colts will be limited to two touchdowns in the game.

17 - 14 in a heartbreaker for the Colts.

I think it is on one of the BS satellite channels. Hope it is a good game.

I think the Bears will win by a field goal.

Oh, Venti ... the only "Big Dance" in the States is the NCAA hoops tourney. You know better ...

But I will agree with you on a Bears victory. Manning will poop the bed in the fourth quarter and toss a drive-killing pick, and from there Chicago will hang on for a 20-17 'W.' I am pleased to see two black coaches in the SB, too. It's good for the NFL, good all around.

I think it will go to another penalty shoot-out.

So, if the game is broadcast live, it will be on at around 4 -5 on Monday Morning. will there be a replay?

I'm going to have to go with the Colts.
Up 26 - 13 with about 8:00 to go in the fourth, the Colts D breaks the back of the bears when it picks off Rex Grossman's sailing pass to Tight End Desmond Clark and scores a TD on ensuing drive.

Final: Colts 33, Bears 20.

Actually, I believe kick off is at 6 pm EST, so that would be a starting time of about 8 AM here in the Land of Wa. I'm told by a friend it will be shown live in the morning on NHK BS and the usual condensed highlite version will be rebroadcast in the late evening.

Wolf, do you know if Balabushka will carry the game live at 8ish in the morn?

The Colts finally beat my Pats so it does seem as though it's finally thier year. If Manning can pick apart Belicheck's defense the way he did in the second half of Sunday's game (and much of the regular season game) he can surely handle the Bear's D. Not to mention that Indy's defence is much improved over previous years.

Ind 32, Bears 21

first of all...anyone who thinks bears will win has been in japan for too long Wink
the rebirth of the colts defence is where the debate ends. having plugged LJ and jamal lewis...how many yds do you figure thomas jones to earn??
leave it to rex grossman on his own? ya..ok.
peyton deserves it. anyone who roots against peyton never played football themselves.
Goodluck catching the game ya'll...Im still in Canada until feb 17th, so I will enjoy.

btw...im gonna bring a football...whos interested in a game?

I just watched the Saints/Bears game this morning on skyperfect and have to say neither the bear or Saints looked very good. The Saints were so sloppy with the ball, they deserved the spanking they got. I'm changing my prediction, the Colts will win it by a TD.

I think that Jones and Benson will combine for 180-200 yards. This game is a toss up. Manning has had limited playoff success and there is no reason to believe that will change, especially against a strong Bears defense. Look for it to be a close game that will hinge on how many times Manning turns the ball over. If Manning throws two or three picks the Bears will win. If he plays a good game then look for the Colts to win by a touchdown or two. My prediction Bears 24 Colts 21.
