Can someone recommend some good, inexpensive places to stay in Heredia and Escazu? We would like to stay at a place within walking distance to the main areas in each town. We will be staying for 3 - 4 nights in each town during our final "fact-finding" trip before moving there to teach English (preferably at a school).
In our research we have focused on living/working in the Heredia area, but Escazu looks very inviting too (although I'm not sure about many English-teaching jobs in Escazu). We have been to Costa Rica before but have not spent time in Heredia or Escazu. Can anyone offer us some lodging and/or general advice? Thanks in advance for your help! |

| Villa Escazu (just outside of Escazu) and Apart-Hotel & Villas Roma (in Heredia) seem to be very good values. On the lesser expensive side, the Hotel America http://www.hotelamericacr.com/ has some great rates for several hotels in Heredia. |
