I hold a UK and a Bahamas Passport. My UK passport is almost full and I heard about a guy who is teaching English legally in Taiwan on a Trinidad Passport. I asked a recruited if I can use a Bahamian Passport and he sid no. However, most asians do not know anything about the Bahamas. So I would thought I would ask here. Does anyone know if I can use my Bahamas passport? I don't see why I shouldn't the Bahamas is first world and English speaking.

Just get a new UK passport. I doubt anyone here can tell you beyond a shadow of a doubt whether or not a Bahamas passport is acceptable. I'm inclined to think it may not be, but who am I to say either way? I find it's best, when doing things here, to stick to established norms and methods that assure success in these kinds of matters. For example, on my recent trip home I lost my degree parchment. I have heard of people securing work permits with letters of graduation and transcripts, but I've also heard of people who've had to leave in disappointment after being rejected. I wasn't about to open that can of worms in my own case, so I paid the money and stayed the extra time in my country to wait for a reprint of my degree. I recommend you don't open the bureaucratic can of worms by trying to obtain a work permit with a passport from a Carribean nation. A UK passport is guaranteed acceptable. Just order a new passport and make things easier on yourself.

Can you just add pages to your passport? For a US passport it took all of 20 mins at the local consulate.

Alas, in the UK we can't add pages to passports. If it's full, you have to get a whole new one.

Don't we all know it. If they weren't I think the Canadian economy would crumble. Seemingly the only thing Canada exports other than timber and maple syrup; are English teachers. Laughing

Try to get a new British passport as soon as you can, regardless of which one you use (but if you're getting a new passport anyway, go with the British one, its the least hassle option). They're getting more and more expensive - I think they may just have gone up to about 80pounds, but it's going to be more when they start making this chip mandatory. How I wish I'd shelled out the extra money for the fat one with extra pages!
