|
|
Hey everybody,
Myself and a few mates will be arriving in Istanbul to start a 10-month ESL contract with EnglishTime (at the Sirinevler branch).
Having looked at some of the threads on the forum theres tons of great info for newbies just starting out in Istanbul. However I'm wondering what experiences you guys might have had in teaching with EnglishTime..?
Is MechanicalTurk right in saying the next ten months are going to 'hard labor' for us, or is (s)he being a bit overzealous?
Any help and comments you might have would be much appreciated, especially as we are arriving in two weeks!
Thanks |

| Welcome, use the search function for ET and you will get a lot of hits. Answers will vary. Why don't you ask Molly or your head teacher for the email of a current teacher. It's standard practice. |

well I never. From a (single-albeit huge)chip on your shoulder to a chip van. That's pretty impressive. How did you manage to succeed Thrifty? Share your secret. |

PM me! I've been on the 'telly and in the newspapers and everything.
Seriously though, ET may take diasabled children up cliffs, throw their wheelchairs off, then leave them stranded up there, but even if you do work there you and you're friends will have an ace time here. PM me to find out where to be seen, where the scene is, which scene to be seen in, and if you happen to go to France, which scene to be seen in in Seine.
Word up 'bro.

the river is pronounced the 'sane', not the 'seen'. but dont let that get in the way of a 'bad' rhyme. |

| Isn't the river sen gibi? Not Sane, nor Seen, just Sen. And if there are 2 rivers, you pronounce them Siz, right? |
