I was checking email, when a message came in from Dave. He asked that I send a letter of recommendation to the publishers of Rolling Stone on his behalf. It seems they were considering doing an expose' on the topic of English teachers worldwide, and he was a perfect candidate to interview. I quickly started to write wonderful things about the forums, the informative posts, etc., when suddenly I was surrounded by a bunch of middle-aged middle-managers at Rolling Stone, wining and dining us. Most of you guys (in avatar form) were there.
Then I woke up. I think I am spending way too much time here! There are other things I could be doing, of course, but while I while away the time before I go to Turkey, it is good to peruse the posts in preparation.
However, I will try to avoid the cafe for a while. It is a scary day when this place is the dominating thought in the bowels of my subconscious. |
