I do think they consider driving a method of population control. Best not to have too many boys hanging about with nothing to do but find ways to kill themselves.

BTW... there is a new fad in the US which is very similar... except it is the driver who gets out of the car and does silly stunts while the car goes on by itself. Quite a few are managing to fall and be run over by their own car...
