Apparently the Quakers set up foundations and start private schools in Turkey. They support those schools financially to gain more influence. All English teachers are related to the Quakers, that's why they do not need qulaifications. That's why they all stick together, know each other and do not mix with locals.

note: I did not make this up, but heard this story today. My first thought was "duuuhh, the Quakers?"
