Can anyone tell me if any institutions apart from Sultan Qaboos, pays educational allowances to English Language Teachers/Instructors/Lecturers ? |

Many teachers with families have this question, especially once they see what an international school education costs here. The sad news is that very few of them have been able to find teaching jobs that provide for kids' schooling costs. That is often privided for in the UAE packages, but it is very rare in Oman. You might want to try the University of Sohar. Good luck. |

And even at SQU, the allowances given don't completely cover the costs for any children past the early stages, as the secondary school fees are so expensive. Certainly people are very stressed by the money situation regarding these allowances. |
