| Just curious what the situation as far as music stores is in Istanbul...Any indie shops? Any shops at all? |

| Yes. Actually there's a few that are good, but probably not as extensive as you'd like. In Kadikoy, on barlar street (real name???) there's that one on the corner opposite Orta Dunya which carries vinyl and rare stuff and eclectic stuff. And in Tunel there are a few in that music stretch of post-Istiklal. I mostly get my music from downloading or from one armed men with suitcases full of bootlegged CDs on dodgy backstreets. |

I popped into D&R (the one in Kanyon shopping centre) the other day and was surprised by their selection, also with more Indie music than I expected.
The prices for cd's rock, too. I find them incredible cheap.
Instead of 30 I now pay 30YTL for a brand new cd. The "nice price" cd's are even cheaper. |
