Just wondering when would be the ideal time to start soliciting schools for employment. From what I understand the new semester starts sometime around June/July. So when do schools actively start hiring for the new semester? |

You've actually missed the boat with many of the bigger schools. However, there is usually a flurry of adverts as people unexpectedly give their three month's notice before the end of semester so look out for ads throughout March. |

When exactly are the semesters in Indo, and when do schools start hiring for them? If I'm to late for the June/July semester, when is my next chance? |

Most schools' second semesters end in mid-June, then a one-month break, then the start of the new school year in mid-July. Not too different from the States, except for the shorter summer vacation. However, a few schools, like JIKS, begin their school year in January and end in December.
It seems to me that much of the hiring is going on now. Most of the teachers in my current school have been getting tons of job offers these past few weeks. I don't expect this trend to end before the end of April. |
