|
|
I am a Canadian teacher, CTEFL certified with 2.5 years teaching in Asia and 1 year in Canada. I am looking for a decent summer camp between the dates of about July 5 and August 25 somewhere that I can make enough money to offset living expenses and hopefully airfare with reasonable opportunity to travel. Anybody know of such a job this summer?
Thanks. |

Difficult- Most places in Latin America have a lot of work for teachers during the school year, less in summer.
And summer jobs are usually filled by teachers who were there in the school year, so not much need to fill in from overseas.
Salaries are nice by local standards, but not much compared to the price of flights. It would be pretty hard to break even on a summer only stint. It sounds like you're looking at only 6-7 weeks- I just don't see how this would pay off for schools, or even summer camp providers.
Best,

I agree. During July and August, it's winter here. YOu could also go to any language school on Arequipa Av in Lima, sign a contract and simply not complete it.
OR
Network and do some private lessons.
Otherwise, try Korea or China or Taiwan. |
