I'm landing in Jakarta at 8:00 am on Saturday. I am thinking about going to Blok M. How much should a taxi cost?

Taxi to Blok M ... if you get a blue bird, I'd say about 90 thousand ... if you get a TARIF LAMA (the old rate) hmmm maybe about 70 thousand rupiah... it shouldnt be anymore than 100 thousand rupiah... if it is...then they are ripping you off Smile

Sorry forgot to mention... dont forget you have to give the drive money for the TOLLS... give him 20 thousand... he'll give you the change... or just leave it with him for a tip Smile

Or if you want to go to BLOK M... get a DAMRI COACH... it only costs you 20,000 rupiah... and it drops you right in front of BLOK M PLAZA... Smile

The bus is the far better option. It is safe, clean and air conditioned. Taxi drivers from the airport are notorious for trying to rip people off. Many dont want to use the meter when the see a white face and some have been known to ask for airport tax fees that don't exist outside of their minds.
