Now that I got everything taken care for my trip to Europe in Spain, it's time for me to move on to the Italy forum. Anyways, just want to get out of Madrid for a week or two and into Italy. I mainly want to get off the beaten path and into Tuscany. Can anyone recommend a few small cities in Tuscany where I can stay for a week or two and just relax, take in the natural beauty and learn some more Italian? I know some Italian and want to learn more but I don't want to stay in a big city where everyone speaks English and there are loads of tourists, expensive prices, etc. Also, I'll be on a bit of a budget so let me know which towns have the cheaper prices, as far as hostels (relative to the rest of Italy).

Also, another question is how can I get to Tuscany from Madrid? I know Ryanair flies into Rome and Milan and I could catch a train from one of those two cities, but is that the only way? How much would a train from either city be to the region?
