I was wondering?? Can some of you who have recently interviewed for a pnet position post some examples of likely used essay questions?? Also what are the HK interviewers looking for in you essay?? (not looking for someone to write an essay for me just looking for the slant/view as to what to be prepaired for and to write an essay that looks good to an HK interviewer,ie what they are looking for , culture,work-habit/ethics,philosopy,etc)? |

I didn't have to write an essay as I was appointed before the EMB had thought of this.
Others will be able to give advice on this topic. The following link is a site for NETs and potential NETs. It was set up by a current PNET and is a fabulous resource for all of us.
It has a guest area where you can read a lot of questions asked by others and also post your own questions http://www.hkpnetsforum.com/ |

I think they change the question each time...a friend of mine recently had an interview and had to write about the education system in her home country but then I know someone else who was seen in December (?) who was asked to describe how she would go about teaching reading. |

I just had my interview today! In the written part, I had to write a letter to the parents of students, introducing myself and the work I would be doing as a NET to improve their child's English.
The EMB are looking for legiblility of handwriting, spelling, grammar and structure... as well as appropriate language!
Hope this helps! |

I had my PNET interview this morning (in Toronto). The essay question was similar to one I've seen posted here before: write an article for the school newsletter explaining your plans for the coming year, or something like that, in approximately 300 words.
For anyone who hasn't been interviewed yet, good luck! Have any of you heard any good news yet?
