I think I'm going to have a serious problem meeting the EMB's 'documentation' requirement and would like to know whether they eventually take the view that something is better than nothing or or whether they simply drop you. I spent most of my childhood moving round every few years and, as such, I've been to a lot of schools. I haven't actually disclosed this to them as yet but I did most of my primary schooling in Europe. I know that I'm a native speaker but I'm worried that they might not be able to get their head around this. I went to an Italian school for a couple of years...I know the name but would have no idea how to get in touch with them. I then went to a British school in Bonn, but when Germany was reunified in 1991 and the capital moved from Bonn to Berlin, a lot of embassies etc relocated and the school closed down. I went to three secondary schools in the UK...again, one of them recently closed down and is now a retirement home. I think I should be able to get the local education authority there to write something for me, but with the primary schools I very much think I have hit a brick wall. I have the originals of all my qualifications...GCSEs, A-Levels, Degree and Teaching. Do I do what I can and then say I can do no more, or should I resign myself to the fact that it will not be enough and give up now? Thanks. |

It is hard to remember that far back as I have been here nearly 5 years but I don't think you will have to produce anything for primary school but you will have to indicate your secondary schools. As long as you have your o-level and a-level certs that should be enough to prove that you did attend a secondary school.
It is a long process but if you really want the job you will hang in there! |
