Hello Everyone,
I have the summer free and would like to spend it teaching English in Italy. I have credentials (MA-TESOL), 6 years of experience including 1 year as a lettrice in the Italian university system, and I speak Italian. I have a US passport and my available dates are 6/15 - 9/15. If you know of anything, I'd much appreciate it!
grazie tanto. |

Bella Vita, are you in Italy now? If you aren't, then that's a problem (more so than your US passport). There is summer work in Italy and lots of companies are still hiring now, but they'll want to interview you in person, not over the phone. (This is also inconvenient if you live in Sicily and the interview is in Torino, grumble, grumble.) If you are in Italy, or plan to be here soon, then try www.jobcrawler.it and search for various combinations of 'insegnante', 'animatore', 'madrelingua inglese' and 'lavoro estivo' to get an idea of what's out there.
ACLE, www.acle.org , does hire North Americans and does hire from abroad.
www.tefl.com has some ads right now for summer work in Italy.
There are also American 'pre-college' programmes that run summer schools in Italy - these are with American students. The one I know of is www.goabbeyroad.com/employment.htm but there are others - do a google. |
