No, not a poll, but a question inspired by a response in an earlier post.

Is there anyone actually here? Which areas of Italy do we "represent"? This forum does appear pretty "quiet" and generally only comes alive when someone (from somewhere else) asks about living conditions etc in Italy. So how many of us are there? If this thread goes "dead", I'll accept that, in fact, there are disappointingly few of us.

On the other hand, I'll start the ball rolling, and hopefully other people will chime in:

Teacher in Rome: was Rome, now in Le Marche
SueH (if I can be so bold!): Northern Italy
Ilaria: Sicily

....

Come on guys!

Good idea, 'Teacher in Le Marche' Wink . And there are also people who used to work in Italy who still read and post here - Jetgirly, for example. (Just as I still follow the China board, although I seldom post there because of the bear-pit atmosphere.)

You bold hussy you, TiR! Yep, I'm up amongst the mountains, wondering why we haven't had a winter, and stocking up on bottled water and candles for the forthcoming drought this summer.

So few posters in Italy, yet most people would love to be living in Italy, notice I said living not teaching. Too bad the Italians can't pay better. I loved my time in Tuscany, can still taste all that wonderful pesto where the garlic came out of my pores.
