Sorry one last thing, do most/all chain schools have a 6 day working week?

Most do, although you may find after a while you are able to take an extra day off every week (not necessarily Saturday). I managed to get a five day week with Kojen by working in their kindergarten, but generally they insist you do elementary classes on Wednesday afternoon and Saturday mornings (in addition to Kindies). Somehow I escaped this after the first few months.

It really does depend on the specific branch you work at, not just the chain of schools. I work for Hess, but don't work Saturdays - my branch is a kindy, we don't even open. There's another branch here where NSTs don't work on Saturdays either, but also others where they start at 8.30 (eek!).

But most people seem to work Saturday, at least at the beginning because the new guy always gets the crappy classes, right?! It's probably easier to assume you WILL be working Saturday morning.
