I'm settling into Bariloche and plan to seek out private clients exclusively, avoiding the language schools. As a native speaker (USA), this is a big fish/small pond situation, I believe. Anyway, any advice on what I should charge private clients if they study (1) individually; (2) in small groups; (3) businesses? Would you collect payment up front or at the end of the lesson, or invoice for the month (sorry for the naive question; I'm new at this)? I'm thinking 20 pesos/hour for individuals, 15/pesos apiece if in small groups; 30-35 businesses. Suggestions? Gracias.
(Yes, I did my due diligence and came up with one thread from 2004.) |

get them to pay up front and offer a 15% discount if they pay for 5 or more lessons in advance. i used to run a 12 hour cancellation rule-if they cancel later than that they can't rearrange the class. (most of my classes were early morning so it worked fine.) as for price, no idea what the going rate in bariloche is-in BA it's anything between 25 and 50 depending on how lucky you get. |
